Wolfgang and Ingrid Schroeter, who came from Germany, founded Wolf Steel Ltd. in Barrie, Canada, in 1976, from which the Napoleon brand emerged in 1980. Today, around 1,600 employees at four production sites in Canada, the USA and China work by the company's guiding principle: Napoleon's premium quality products in the areas of heating and cooling systems, grills, wood and gas-fuelled as well as electric fireplaces are valued in 34 countries around the globe.
